The mission of the Tillamook School District is to prepare our students with the academic, artistic, and social skills necessary to become positive contributors to a changing world.
ABOUT THE DISTRICT
The Tillamook School District staff includes 146 licensed and 130 classified employees.
The Facilities allow the District to offer students a full range of educational opportunities, in addition to emphasizing basic skill development. Student test scores are above national averages, and many of our graduates continue their education beyond high school.
The Tillamook County Education Service District provides many support services, including an instructional materials center, data processing service, multi-phasic pre-school physicals and special education for the handicapped.
Budget Committee - The budget sets guidelines for the administration to follow in developing an operating budget. Members study program budgets, meet with management to discuss the program's function and recommend a budget to the school board. The committee consists of five board members and five community residents appointed by the board for terms of three years.
Parent Involvement/Volunteers - Parents are an integral part of the education of their children. As a parent of a child attending school in Tillamook School district, we urge you to get to know your child's school, principal and teachers. Volunteers are a very important part of our schools and are always welcome.
Registration and Enrollment - Students new to the District or students who have changed their place of residence should register prior to opening of school. Specific times and dates are published in the local newspaper and are available at the District Office. Students new to Oregon must present proof of immunization and proof of a physical within the last year. First-time students must present proof of age. Children must be five years of age by September 1 to enter Kindergarten.
Attendance Area and School Assignment - Students are generally required to attend the school located in their attendance areas as designated by the District.
